Based in Silicon Valley, Laura has over fifteen years of experience
in recruiting and people operations in global technology,
industrial, and professional services companies. At JWC Partners,
Laura has focused on senior executive and board recruiting. One of
Laura's professional strengths lies in understanding specialized
expertise and finding the right leader for important roles.
Laura began her career at McKinsey & Company where, as a
consultant, she worked on a wide variety of functional areas
including strategy, marketing, pricing, and people operations. She
worked with senior management teams in a range of industries:
mobile telecommunications, healthcare, financial services, and
insurance.
With a deep interest in professional development and staffing,
Laura focused on managing people operations starting in 2001. She
worked as the staffing leader for McKinsey's Business Technology
Office in Palo Alto, filling highly technical roles on teams in
quickly changing areas of technology. She worked for McKinsey &
Company in the Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, Seoul, New York, and
London offices, leading people initiatives ranging from diversity
recruiting to executive compensation.
Laura joined JWC Partners in January 2016, and she has since
worked on many "mission impossible" searches, including a PhD CEO
search, multifactorial diversity searches, and initial "no" but
final "yes" searches.
Laura received a JD from Stanford University, an MFA from
Washington University in St. Louis, and a BA from Yale University.
Laura and her husband live in the San Francisco Bay Area with their
two children.
